by Gavin Seim: I’ve spent much of this Christmas Eve doing the final prep, but it’s ready. The Seim Effects/Pro Photo Show annual Christmas gift pack. Just my way of saying thanks for all your support and feedback over the past year. Theres good things in store for 2010 so stay tuned.

This years pack has four new presets based on tones inspired by film. This is something I’ve been working on lately and there’s more to come in the future. Next are four textures to add character to your photos. There’s also an action included to make overlaying and placing any texture really easy.

You can get more specific details with the info that’s included in the download and see a couple samples below. Mouse over the images to see the presets before and after. After putting together my Lightroom Power workshop for conference style presentations I kept getting interest from people who couldn’t make it in person. So I got to thinking. Nearly everything I teach in the Lightroom Power session could be done as a live online workshop. So that’s what I did. Yes, the face to face version is still available and I may even take it on the road sometime, but this e-Workshop is now. Well almost, the first is coming in January.

Lightroom Power LIVE is about a four hour online workshop. It’s pretty simple, but very cool. You login to the conference from any computer with a good internet connection. I’ll be there speaking and broadcasting live what’s on my screen. Like a face to face workshop, attendees will be involved too. There will be a chatroom for everyone and you’ll even be able to ask live audio questions.

Best of all it’s not very expensive. Whether you use Lightroom all the time, or have never touched it you’ll walk away with learning. I’m looking forward to having you all on board. You’ll need to reserve your spot though so head over and check it out.

My new Lightroom Power Workshop:

by Gavin Seim. Most of you who use my tools know that Lightroom is a big part of my system. I’ve put together a new workshop which I presented for the first time in October at the PPW conference. It’s a relaxed fun workshop where newbies learn the Lighrtoom ropes and veterans learn lots of new new tricks.

Learning is a huge part of what we do, so I also set up a new tab on the sites for my upcoming learning tools and workshops. Sometime a these will be multi day events in specific locations, but some like Lightroom Power will be a single day presentation that any group, organization or conference can bring me out to present at their event anywhere in the world.

At some point I may take this workshop on a tour as well. I’m also considering the possibility of doing a live online workshop. I have to look into the possibilities. You can follow the Seim Effects FB page for updates or join the newsletter. Visit the page for more workshop details.

In Memory Of Grant Seim IV.

My brother Grant and his Wife Aimee has a some a few days ago. Sadly, due to a rare umbilical problem at birth he passed away.

In memory of Grant IV and to help my brother and his wife with medical expenses I’ve made a special collection. These are never before released Lightroom and Photoshop effects, as well other goodies including a new HDR training video. 100% of from this profits go to help out. It’s a good cause, and a great deal that will not stay this price. More details and video here.
