I don’t know what is more difficult, hitting a round baseball with a round bat OR photographing the bat making contact. 
Both require practice and an excellent eye.
This is the story of John Burgess, photographer for the Santa Rosa Press Democrat and his efforts to snap Barry Bonds’ record breaking home run. As the article states, it took him 16 days, 13 games, trips to Los Angeles and San Diego and one postponed family vacation.
