The legend of lenses! Like Beowulf, or Hercules. But this one is real…
The Canon 1200mm f5.6 L lens. It came out in 1993, was dropped around 2005, and weighed over 35 pounds. It was an amazing piece of glass, but it would drain about 90 grand out of your checkbook.
Now those of you who want to really REACH OUT can have one your very own. The B&H used department has gotten their hands on one and it’s on their website for $99,000.00 No that’s not a typo.
How about that, a lens that goes up in value! B&H even tried it out, and did a review with samples.
Go ahead add this to your cart. We’ll even let you bring it over for a PPS quality test 🙂
(Thanks BMG)
Wow! This would be one of those situations where you would want to attach your tripod to the lens and not the camera body!
I wonder if I could hand hold that one?
Duh! ALL of the canon primes, and many of the larder telephoto lenses attach to the tripod and do not use the camera body as an attach point.
No actually not all the Primes have tripod mounts. Only the large ones. Time to do your homework 🙂

I think the O/P just might’ve been being sarcastic! 😉
