The folks over at Digital Photography Review just posted thier review if the Nikon Coolpix P5000. The P5000 is considered to be “the ‘flagship’ in Nikon’s Coolpix compact digital camera range.”
It boasts a long list of great compact digital camera features including a 10 megapixel sensor. Even though it is not a “professional” camera, there was one feature that caught my eye. Maybe it’s because I am such a huge Nikon fan, but I really liked the camera’s finish. It is similar to that of the Nikon SLRs. It’s that black, textured metal surface with a nice rubber grip for your hand. In a world of shinny silver and gold compact cameras it is refreshing to have one that looks like it’s big brothers and sisters.
