Lightroom Seminar

lightroom title

Well, I went to Scott Kelby’s Lightroom Seminar tour last week and it was great. If you are interested in learning Lightroom you should attend this seminar. Like I said, Scott Kelby is the instructor. He presents the information in a clear, easy to learn point of view. He actually does a live photo shoot then goes into Lightroom and shows you the workflow he uses in Lightroom. You don’t have to bring a computer to attend this seminar, in fact it’s not recommended that you do bring a computer. The course is that easy! Scott also provides each student with a workbook based on the subjects from the day’s seminar. This workbook includes EVERYTHING you will be taught including the tips from the day. So, this means you don’t have to spend time taking notes and hoping you got all the information. It’s already prepared for you. All you have to do is sit back, watch, listen and enjoy.

As an instructor, Scott Kelby is entertaining as well as knowledgeable. He uses his breaks to answer questions from the audience. He gives you an equipment list of everything that he uses during the shoot, and NO he doesn’t get a commission for any of the equipment. I’ve enjoyed seminar’s instructed by Scott in the past and I have to say he only gets better as time goes on. His enthusiasm for Lightroom is contagious and one can’t wait to get back to the studio and start working. When you combine this one day seminar with Scott Kelby’s Lightroom book you will be a professional Lightroom user before you know it.

So the team over at NAPP are scheduling new dates for the Lightroom Seminar so keep your eyes on this website for new dates and times, Photoshop Seminars.

About the Author

Glad you're here.

I'm from WA State USA and started studying photography in 97. I started work as a pro (using that word loosely because I sucked) using film at age 16. I learned fast but was not as easy to find training then. Sometimes I beat my head against the wall until I figured stuff out.

As digital dawned I went all in and got to study with masters like Ken Whitmire. In 09 I founded the Pro Photo Show podcast. I started promoting tone-focused editing. When Lightroom arrived, I started developing tools to make editing and workflow better.

20 years of study and photography around the country earned me a Master of Photography (M.Photog) from PPA. I got to see my workshops and tools featured in publications across the industry. Once I even won the prestigious HotOne award for my "EXposed" light and tone workshop.

Wanting something calmer, I moved to Mexico in 2017. It's a land of magical light. I'm here now exploring light and trying to master my weak areas. I make videos of that for my Youtube channel, sharing what I learn. I hope you'll stick around and be part of Light Hunters Tribe... Gavin
