Who is Gavin Seim.

Gavin is a PPA Master Photographer (M.Photog) born in Seattle, Washington, USA. He began his studies in 1997 at age 12 and started creating the original Lightroom presets and master photo tools in 2006. His award-winning photos, workshops, and tools have been published worldwide as he seeks to simplify techniques for tone, color, and feeling in the photograph.

In 2022, Gavin created the Shadow Method. Looking for a better way to teach, he flipped the script on how photography has been taught for over 150 years. In 2026, he released the Shadow Master Class after years of testing and teaching the method live to photographers around the globe.

Gavin knows people are rightly skeptical of tools and courses in today's internet market.
