A few months back I posted a sample pack of my Creative Essentials actions. It tuned out that the download somehow ended up with some of my sample LR presets inside, instead of the PS action.
Hundreds of you download this set, and got the wrong thing. I just found out minutes ago thanks to a comment from Tanis. I feel pretty silly.
Anyways here is the original post that’s been updated with the new file. Enjoy, Gav

Just when it looked like things might finally slow down in the rumor mill, this ad pops up. Supposedly from Nikon Japan, Nikon Rumors has reported this, and has a few related posts over on their site. Apparently it says ‘BIG” in Japanese.
If this is a Nikon ad I definatly see them trying to cash in the the mysterious side that Canon was using to get so much press. Cmon Nikon, be original. You got good stuff, don’t copy Canon. Anyways what do you all think this could be? Speak Up.

UPDATE: It looks like the OWA is dead in the house. At least for now.
For us photographer in the US it looks like politicians may have their way, and we may have to start jumping through hoops just to protect our images.
The orphan works act basically allows our photography to to be used by anyone, as long as they can’t find it registered in a database that would to be created for images. NPPA is reporting that the Senate snuck this through under the radar a few nights ago. Granted it still has to pass congress, and be signs off by the president but it their really trying to sneak this through.

A lone cowboy rides across the barren dessert atop his faithful sorrel. His silver spurs glisten in the hot afternoon sun as a dry wind rustles through tumbleweeds caught on the countless boulders scattered along the barren landscape. He looks out gloomily from underneath his weathered gray hat for a sign of the life-giving water he seeks. There is none to be found. They trudge onwards.
OK, enough of me trying to write. Â I have enough projects on my hands, including a couple books, so I best not get started on another story. Besides that, this is a shot I took yesterday near Ephrata Lake. There was water and greenery not a hundred yards beyond this shot. Interesting how fast the land around here can change.
